Before you order

Ordering, payment & shipping

Ask questions before ordering. I want you to know what you are buying, and I need the item number in every inquiry so I can identify the exact piece.

1. Start with the item number

Tell me the item number, your name, and your complete shipping address. Gun parts without item numbers should be identified by the part name and rifle model. Availability and prices can change while another deal is pending, so wait for my confirmation before making payment.

2. Payment

MasterCard and Visa only, by telephone or in person. Credit or debit both work if the card carries the MC or Visa logo. Never put a card number, expiration date, or security code in an email or website form. Call 740-502-6790; weekday mornings, Eastern time, are usually best, or email first to arrange a call. If the card’s billing address differs from the shipping address, say so — orders that don’t verify don’t ship.

3. Shipping

  • Every shipment is fully insured. This is non-negotiable.
  • You pay the actual carrier cost. I normally use UPS for domestic street addresses and USPS where a PO Box or international service requires it.
  • Packed weights to estimate postage: bayonets 2–5 lb; helmets 3–6 lb; soft hats and small items usually under 1 lb. Origin ZIP is 43832.
  • Oversize parcels and cartons may carry the carrier’s current surcharge and the actual cost of a carton when I cannot reuse one.
  • I will not falsify customs documents.

4. Firearms, parts, and export restrictions

ANY GUNS WITH ITEM NUMBERS ARE 1898 AND EARLIER ANTIQUES OR NOT OTHERWISE CLASSIFIED AS FIREARMS BY BATFE NO FFL REQUIRED

NOTICE- DUE TO AN INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT LEGAL CLIMATE OF ARBITRARY, CAPRICIOUS AND IMPROPER INTERPRETATION AND ENFORCEMENT OF EXPORT LAWS I CAN NO LONGER SHIP PARTS OUTSIDE THE USA. I ALSO CAN NO LONGER SHIP ANTIQUE RIFLES OUTSIDE THE USA AS WELL AS NO LONGER SHIPPING TO NEW JERSEY. SO FAR SHIPPING BAYONETS IS STILL NO PROBLEM.

NOTE: I occassionally list personally owned rifles being upgraded out of my collection here. These MUST be shipped through FFL dealers if they are post-1898.

5. Returns and refunds

Unless an individual listing says otherwise, I accept a return only if I grossly misidentified or misrepresented an item, or grossly overstated its condition. Email me within a few days of delivery and explain the issue in detail. A week after delivery is too late. I issue the refund promptly after a pre-authorized return reaches me in the same condition in which I shipped it.
