I’m Dennis D. Ottobre. Just call me Otto. I have collected militaria for more than 30 years and sold it online since 2000. I specialize in bayonets — identifying them, researching them, and writing about the ones nobody else has bothered to document.

What I stand behind

Every item is guaranteed original unless its listing plainly says otherwise. I publish my observations, identify reproductions and fakes when I know them, and preserve long descriptions because details and provenance matter.

I published Observations On Turkish Bayonets in 2002, the first serious organized treatment of the subject, now covering 592 variants. Bayonets of Afghanistan followed in 2006 as the first book on Afghan bayonets, covering 88 variants including a section on spotting fakes and fantasy pieces. I continue to revise both. The Research section also preserves two of my longer articles.
