BM59 bayonet with scabbard. This one has a really high freak factor! Started out as a US M1905 bayonet (SA 1917) then was shortened to a spearpoint M1 in WWII by UFH (marked on the backstrap). It was paired with an M3 scabbard shortened to an M7 with the throat remounted by the compression method. Then the Argentines removed the crossguard and replaced it with a reworked Wilde Toole crossguard with larger BM59 muzzle ring added. The grips are also the brown and black mottled type often found on Wilde Tool bayonets. The bayonet's original serial number was removed and the Argentines added their own serial numbers to the ricasso and the top face of the scabbard throat. Unfortunately they don't match but both are clearly Argentine serial numbers.
